  • Freshman Caitlin Clark recorded her ninth double-double and second in as many games with 20 points and 11 assists.
  • Junior Monika Czinano shot 75 percent from the field, making 12-of-16.
  • Eight Hawkeyes played. Eight Hawkeyes scored, including double-figure scoring from Czinano (27), Clark (20), and Warnock (17).

Jon here..Entering this year, Iowa has won three Big Ten tournament titles.  Purdue holds the record with nine and Ohio State five with Maryland having won four.  Very impressive for Maryland considering their short tenure in the league.

This will be Iowa’s sixth trip to the title game and seventh straight year Maryland has made it to the title game.  Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Northwestern, Rutgers and Wisconsin have never won the Big Ten tournament, while Rutgers, Northwestern, Michigan and Wisconsin have never made it to the title game.
