Iowa Hires New Offensive Line Coach
Tulane's George Barnett will join Hawkeyes per Yahoo Sports

Pete Thamel of Yahoo sports is reporting Iowa will hire George Barnett to join the staff to replace their Offensive Line coaching vacancy.
Sources: Iowa is hiring Tulane’s George Barnett to become the school’s next offensive line coach. He’d spent seven years at Miami (Ohio) University and is a disciple of respected OL guru Harry Hiestand.

Barnett was just hired by Tulane back in December to be their offensive line coach, but apparently the offer from Iowa was too much to pass up.
Per his bio at Tulane, which I won’t bother linking because it will likely be taken down soon, he has coached the OL position for over 20 years, dating back to 1999. He spent seven years with Miami of Ohio, four years at Illinois State (including one year as their OC, 2013) plus two years at Grand Valley State University in Michigan.
He attended Millikin High School in Decatur, IL and was a four-year letter winner, he was also a GA at Illinois in 2004. He is also an Illinois native.
Barnett’s hiring comes after Tim Polacek chose to leave Iowa City and rejoin his former boss at Wyoming, where he will be the Cowboys offensive coordinator.
